PURPOSE

To positively impact, serve, educate, standardize, preserve, and unite network marketing associates and those who develop and create businesses within the network marketing community.

ABOUT

Early in 2004 a group of passionate individuals (Rod Cook, Cheryl Gonzalez, Marcie Cook) concerned about the future of the Network Marketing community, came together to form an association. The ANMP (formerly known as the Distributor Rights Association or DRA) focused on establishing standards for the protection of all groups within the Network Marketing community. It also centered efforts on educating both companies and participants of their responsibilities and rights.

The ANMP has organized to prevent among other things: harmful legislation on supplements and proposed business opportunity rules by the FTC. The association has also drafted publications on standards, and has continually provided education for Network Marketing professionals.

By 2009 the association started drawing the attention of many of the top leaders, trainers, and professionals within the Network Marketing community developing around a core belief: Strength Comes From Unity. In 2010 the name of the association become the Association of Network Marketing Professionals.

"When we commit to a vision to do something that has never been done before, there is no way to know how to get there. We simply have to build the bridge as we walk on it. Please join me and your colleagues in this effort."
    --Cheryl Gonzalez, President Emeritus

Cecily feels that being actively involved as the ANMP’s Executive Secretary helps her develop educational training to teach individual members in her networking team a correct view of the industry. Being involved with the ANMP also provides a foundation of strength and a higher level of belief in the industry.

The accomplishment she is most proud of is raising her 2 children, Jeremy and Tracy, as a single mom, helping them get a foothold on life, and now being a very proud grandparent!

Robert Blackman:

Committees: Communications, Publicity & Media -- Education & Training

For Robert Blackman, it was dad who served as the inspiration for entering business. “My Father was the president of a continuous forms business in Bartlesville, Oklahoma called Central States Business Forms. At age 58 he took early retirement and started a quick-print franchise. At the time I was 18. It really impressed me that dad was willing to “start over” at age 58 because he was tired of all the corporate politics. He left a $75,000 a year job in 1980 (which was big back then) and started over.”

Robert had grown up in his dad’s manufacturing plan. At age 25, it was time to follow his lead and start his own business. And as if to prove the value of his upbringing, Robert turned a profit in his very first month and has never looked back.

Like most entrepreneurs, the reward is freedom. “Some days I don’t work at all. Other days I work 18 hours straight. It just depends on how I feel,” says Robert. Being able to write his own paycheck ranks high, too. “The only limit to the amount of money I make is up to me! I love getting up in the morning and being in complete control of my financial destiny.”

Entered the MLM in 1990 as a Distributor. By the mid-90's had successfully transitioned to an Online InterNetwork Marketer. She has been interviewed by the MoneyRoom.com radioshow, and VisionPro an online training site.

She believe's that MLM is about networking, not marketing. She writes, "If you’re only marketing, no matter how many people you meet, only certain people will see your message and want to check it out. But when you’re networking, you’re connecting from a personal standpoint and developing a network, including the people who won’t be in your business. Some people should continue doing what they’re doing, and that doesn’t mean they’re not part of your network."

"Your network is the real value in this profession, and whoever has the largest network wins. I always want to come from a place of contribution: Who is your ideal client? How can I help you? You can build an incredible network this way, and not have to worry about prospecting and talking about an 'opportunity'."
